About Us

We are The Preventative Search and Rescue Initiative Inc, a newly approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our mission is to keep people safe in the outdoors through prevention and education. The first initiative is based in the Catskills region of New York where many hikers take on their first serious challenges.

The Role

This is not a title only role. It is hands on work. If you like organizing, cleaning up messy files, keeping things moving, and turning half formed ideas into something usable, this is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Tons of Admin work to help us out
• Format and clean up drafts so they are readable
• Track contacts, schedules, and onboarding tasks
• Make sure nothing falls through the cracks
• Help keep track of what people are doing
• Monitor things we are creating

Who We Are Looking For

• Organized and reliable
• The kind of person who feels good fixing messy systems
• Comfortable with Google Workspace or willing to learn fast
• Interest in the outdoors is a plus but you do not have to be climbing peaks
• Disabled volunteers and veterans are strongly encouraged to apply

Commitment

• Remote role with flexible hours
• About 5 to 10 hours per week
• You set your schedule and simply stay dependable
