The Senior Staff Accountant plays a critical role in managing key accounting functions within a small team, reporting directly to the CFO. This position involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulations, and supporting audit and tax activities. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in accounting principles and software tools to enhance financial processes and support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Maintain the general ledger and perform account reconciliations
• Support internal and external audits through preparation and documentation
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings
• Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for process improvement
• Lead the month-end close process and regulatory compliance activities
• Utilize QuickBooks and NetSuite for accounting operations
• Collaborate within a small team of 1-5 members and communicate effectively with the CFO
• Support accounting operations for multiple companies, including consolidations
• Import, process, and reconcile financial transactions across entities and systems
• Ensure consistent accounting treatment and compliance with GAAP across all business units

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Mater's degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP principles
• Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
• Experience with auditing processes
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Effective communication and time management skills
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, Power Query) to analyze financial data
• Create management dashboards in Power BI
