Product Owner
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Job Summary:
The Product Owner is a key member of the Product Management team, responsible for guiding the development of our TMS SaaS solution. This role involves close collaboration with customers, sales, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure that our product meets and exceeds market needs. The Product Owner will prioritize feature development, manage the product backlog, and serve as the customer advocate within the development process. Essential Duties and
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a SaaS environment, with a preference for experience in the transportation or logistics industry.
Skills:
• Strong understanding of TMS solutions, supply chain management, and the logistics industry.
• Experience working with agile development teams, with a strong understanding of Scrum or similar methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across functions
Responsibilities
• Vision and Strategy: Define the product vision and strategy in alignment with company goals and market needs. Communicate this vision to all stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding and direction.
• Backlog Management: Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that the development team is focused on work that maximizes value and aligns with product strategy.
• Feature Definition: Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to identify and define features that solve real-world transportation management challenges.
• Development Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of product requirements and priorities.
• User Experience: UX/UI craft and iterate on user interfaces that deliver exceptional and intuitive user experiences, catering to a diverse customer base. Demonstrated ability to incorporate user feedback, usability testing, and market analysis into design enhancements and feature prioritization.
• Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product to assess its success in the market and inform future development priorities.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage regularly with customers, sales, and marketing teams to gather feedback, discuss product enhancements, and support go-to-market strategies.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
