Job Summary


Under the direction of the Director of Auxiliary Enterprises, this position performs all receiving and shipping functions, including count verification, pricing, and preparation of outgoing shipments. Responsibilities also include setting up and maintaining the textbook shelves, stockroom, and selling floor, while enhancing the store's image. This position is also responsible for assisting with setting up general merchandise and buybacks. The Campus Store Receiving and Distribution Assistant must provide excellent customer service, work well under pressure, and maintain positive communication with others. Work hours will include occasional evening shifts on a rotating basis, as well as occasional Saturdays under the direction of the Director of Auxiliary Enterprises.

Qualifications - Education


High School Diploma or GED

Qualifications - Experience


Experienced in Shipping & Receiving Functions

Qualifications - Skills


Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations.
Ability to oversee and assign tasks to student aides.
Accuracy in records management.
An understanding of retail season fluctuations and a sense of urgency are needed to maximize peak selling periods.
Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs. on a daily basis.
Must be able to operate warehouse equipment.
Must wear ankle-high work shoes.

Work Hours


Work hours will include occasional evening shifts on a rotating basis, as well as occasional Saturdays. Depending on the needs of the Campus Store, hours will be scheduled within these times up to a maximum of 24.5 hours a week:
M, TH: 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM
T, W, F: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
