Job Description

The Global Security (GS) North America Physical Security team consists of a dynamic group of security professionals who are responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for our employees, clients, and assets in our retail and corporate environments in North America.

The Global Security (GS) Team provides security protection, investigation, resiliency and crisis management services in support of JPMorganChase, its employees, customers, assets, and facilities throughout the world. This responsibility includes the development of security and safety policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative compliance, Security Guard management, alarm response, branch and corporate building security, customer safety, physical crime investigations, workplace violence, fire and life safety.

As a Security Officer within the Global Security Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of critical areas and personnel, inspecting grounds, controlling and monitoring access to buildings, reporting fire and safety hazards, managing alarms, and responding to emergencies. Your excellent communication skills will be essential in this role. Candidate will need to pass clearance process to be eligible for the position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the safety and security of critical areas and personnel
  • Inspecting grounds and premise property
  • Controlling and monitoring access to building
  • Reporting fire and safety Hazards
  • Managing Alarms and Emergency Response
  • Defusing difficult situations
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
  • Must have active State Security Guard License, if required by state law
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification
  • Practice normal hygiene and personal cleanliness, neat in dress and appearance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in multiple computer operating systems
  • Customer and Client focus
  • Strong leadership skills and previous management experience
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:
  • Working knowledge of Critical infrastructure security operations, technical security, alarm management, mobile communication and incident reporting applications
  • Associate degree, or US Military background with honorable discharge, AND a minimum of five (5) years prior Security Officer experience
