Customer Service Representative

Apple Valley Waste is a rapidly growing regional waste management company serving the Mid-Atlantic region. With 10 locations and a commitment to excellence, AVW provides sustainable waste solutions and exceptional customer service. As we are expanding, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering top-notch environmental services.

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to be the first point of contact for our clients. In this role, you will manage customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive experience for all AVW customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
• Address and resolve customer complaints with empathy and professionalism.
• Process service requests and coordinate with internal teams to fulfill customer needs.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
• Provide information about AVW's services, policies, and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to upsell additional services to existing customers.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex customer issues.
• Process payments

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 12 years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of the waste management industry is a plus.
