Job Summary:

Helpful Hearts Health Services Inc. is seeking a passionate and impact-driven Community Outreach Coordinator to grow our presence and impact across Maryland, ensuring more individuals with developmental disabilities have access to the support and opportunities they deserve. This role combines outreach, marketing, business development, and partnerships — building strong relationships with Service Coordinators, families, schools, hospitals, and community partners to promote our services, mission, and increase referrals.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Engagement & Outreach

Develop and nurture relationships with service coordinators, families, social workers, hospitals, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders.

Represent the agency at community events, conferences, and networking meetings to promote services and build awareness.

Organize webinars, informational sessions, and outreach events to educate stakeholders about the agency’s mission and programs.

Act as the primary point of contact for outreach-related inquiries and referrals.

Marketing & Communications

Make calls and send emails to service coordinators, social workers, hospitals, community partners, and families to share information about services.

Develop and execute marketing strategies, including social media engagement, email campaigns, and flyer distribution.

Collaborate with the internal team to create compelling outreach materials such as brochures, presentations, and newsletters that communicate our unique approach and commitment to individuals with IDD.

Maintain a consistent and professional presence on social media and other digital platforms.

Business Development & Growth

Track and analyze referral sources and outreach efforts, ensuring follow-ups with potential partners and families.

Identify new partnership opportunities with other providers, advocacy organizations, and local businesses.

Maintain outreach and referral data, generating reports to assess the effectiveness of engagement strategies.

Work closely with leadership to improve outreach strategies and ensure the agency remains visible in the community.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in social services, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field — or equivalent relevant experience.

Valid drivers license with clean driving record.

Strong follow-through, and ability to work independently.

Passionate about supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and advocating for community inclusion.

Experience in outreach, marketing, or business development within the healthcare, disability services, or human services sector is preferred.

Strong relationship-building, communication, and networking skills.

Ability to organize and coordinate events, webinars, and community engagements effectively.

Proficiency in email marketing tools, CRM systems, and social media platforms is a plus.

Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive in outreach efforts.

Comfortable making outreach calls and sending follow-up emails.

Knowledge of Maryland’s DDA system is a plus.

Willingness to travel within Maryland and occasionally work evenings or weekends for community events.
