Position Overview College Achieve Public Schools is seeking a knowledgeable and service‑oriented Assistant Technology Coordinator to support instructional and operational technology across the network. The successful candidate will assist teachers, administrators, and staff with integrating technology into teaching and learning, provide technical support and training, maintain technology resources, and promote responsible and effective use of digital tools and systems. Key Responsibilities Support teachers and administrators in integrating technology into curriculum, instruction, and assessment Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and instructional technology systems Assist with the implementation and support of educational technology platforms, learning management systems, and digital learning tools Demonstrate and model effective technology practices for teachers and school leaders Plan and assist with professional development sessions related to instructional technology Support the use of productivity tools including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, multimedia applications, databases, and spreadsheets Assist with the implementation of assistive technology in collaboration with student support teams, Section 504 teams, and Child Study Teams Promote responsible, ethical, and legal use of technology and digital resources Maintain technology hardware and software inventories and assist with equipment deployment and maintenance Assist with supporting distance learning, hybrid learning, and virtual instructional environments Collaborate with staff, students, families, and community stakeholders to support technology initiatives Prepare and submit required reports including technology inventory, training records, and monthly activity reports Remain current with emerging technologies, educational trends, and best practices through ongoing professional learning Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Valid New Jersey Permanent Teacher Certificate or equivalent New Jersey instructional certification Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience Demonstrated experience integrating technology into classroom instruction Demonstrated technology expertise through coursework, certifications, professional training, or practical experience Experience with Windows operating systems and common educational software applications Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and technology‑related issues Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Valid New Jersey driver’s license if travel is required to perform job responsibilities Must pass a criminal history background check Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications Comprehensive benefits package, including: Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance NJ State Pension Plan Flexible spending account (FSA) Professional development opportunities Employee referral program Extended time off during Thanksgiving and winter breaks Performance Evaluation Staff are evaluated based upon: Quality of technology support and service Effectiveness of instructional technology integration Professional collaboration and communication Completion of assigned projects and responsibilities Contribution to school and network technology initiatives Supervision May provide guidance and support to teachers, staff members, and technology users Assists with supporting students during technology‑related activities and initiatives Desired Skills & Attributes Strong customer service orientation Passion for leveraging technology to improve teaching and learning Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Commitment to continuous professional growth and innovation Flexible, proactive, and solutions‑oriented mindset #J-18808-Ljbffr College Achieve Public Schools (CAPS)
