A Day In The Life Responsible for performing setup on ABM machines, including tooling changes and adjustments to ensure conformance to specifications. Responsible for operation of ABM machines, including loading bar stock, filling fluids, and removing chips. Responsible for conformance with quality specifications. Ability to troubleshoot machines and complete maintenance activities as needed. Ability to assist in training others on operation and setup of ABM machines. Track components and tools used on ABM machines (e.g., hydraulic fittings/hoses, motors, drill heads, hydraulic cylinders, saw blades, drills, taps). Assist with scheduling of machines by coordinating with planning/scheduling of production orders. Assist with training additional setup personnel. Operate machinery per requirements of print specifications, shop orders, and inspection charts. What will help you thrive in this role? Mechanically inclined – good with tools and machinery and able to fix both familiar and unfamiliar items quickly. Mathematical skills – apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations to make machine adjustments. Reasoning ability – define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Computer skills – effectively use computer tools required for the job. Other skills and abilities – detail oriented, organized, driven to meet deadlines, and capable of working under pressure.
